Dear all,
The time has finally come.
After an action packed summer of tennis on the clay, I am happy to invite you all to attend Part 1 of our BTC Tournament Finals Weekend on Saturday October 2nd, 2021 . Three matches will take place on the day with the remaining three to be scheduled separately, more news on that in the coming weeks.
The day's programme will go as follows:
1000 : Ladies' doubles final pitting the dynamic duos of Annie Moore & Alicia Jurecka against Isobel McClure & Joanna Boddy . A new winning pair is guaranteed this year as none of the participants have previously won the tournament.
1300: Defending champion Georgie Newton will take on young upstart Jennae Manning in what promises to be a fascinating duel between youth and experience in the Ladies' singles finals.
1500: In the men's final, two time defending champion and top seed Alex Ross will face a serious challenge against Arum Akom , the BTC coach.
The Club will be providing Strawberries, Prosecco and Beer courtesy of the Crooked Well but feel free to also bring your own to make it a picnic!
Lastly, if anyone is interested in being a line judge for one or two of the matches, please do let me know (before I have to resort to coercion!). We would really appreciate any support that would contribute to making this day as successful as possible. We will ensure you are thanked accordingly.
