We are excited to announce that entries to the 2020 Butterfly Tennis Club knockout tournaments are now open! To play in the tournaments you must re-join as a member before the end of the entry deadline on Wednesday March 25th. (A separate membership renewal email will follow soon).

and enter your DOB, (which we keep confidential), and away you go. It's completely FREE to enter. All singles matches are best of three tie-break sets and doubles matches are the same, except a match tie-break (first to 10) will be played if it's one set all.
If you want to play in the men's or mixed doubles events and haven't got a partner lined up please let me know and we will be able to pair people up once we have the entries. You can enter without needing to fill in the 'select partner' option. If you would like to play in the ladies' doubles event then please enter and, like last year, all partnerships will be drawn out of a hat.
Also, there has been some interest in us running plate competitions in the men's and ladies' singles events. This means if you lose in round one of the main draw you are automatically entered into a second knockout draw with the other first round losers and you go again! This way everybody gets the opportunity to play at least two matches and even if you get a tough draw in the main event and lose in round one, you could still come away a champion! PLEASE NOTE - We will only be running each plate event if we get a minimum of 16 entries into each of the main singles draws.
We really need as many ladies as possible to enter the singles and doubles events. It's only a bit of fun so please encourage all and any female members you know to enter and enjoy themselves. Last year we only had 8 singles and 10 doubles entries in the ladies events so we want to smash that out the park this year!
Here's a reminder of the key dates:
Entries open - Now!
Entry deadline - end of Wednesday March 25th
Draw ceremony - Crooked Well pub - Thursday March 26th (all welcome)
Matches can be played from Friday March 27th
SAVE THE DATE - Finals weekend - 20th & 21st June (all welcome)
(Reserve final weekend in case of rain - 27th & 28th June)
*Please note - if applicable the plate finals may need to be played on dates outside of finals weekend for time reasons*
Remember, all are welcome on finals weekend, so if you're not playing, you can officiate, or just watch, have a couple of free drinks and enjoy yourself.
